We got to come home on Tuesday, January 20th.
Introducing our dog Nico to Alexis was a concern of mine since he has never really been comfortable around babies and children, but with direction from the Dog Whisperers website it is going incredible and Nico does not have a problem this our angel. Thank you Jesus!
It's been exciting, exhausting, interesting and challenging learning what to do with a newborn. She really is a full time job. I'm breastfeeding because we feel it is most beneficial to Alexis and to me, but it can be challenging at times being her only source of food. We're learning to manage and I believe we're doing incredible. She had her two day check up on Thursday, January 22nd and she is in perfect health. The small bit of jondus that she had a birth has cleared up and they are not concerned about it. She had lost some weight so she's down to 6 lbs 12 oz. Dr said it's perfectly normal. The only thing is she's so tiny that newborn doesn't even fit her. We bought some premie outfits yesterday and they seem to be working PERFECT!
We're loving life right now, even with the challenge of trying to remember everything when we leave the house.
She was so worth the pain and I know she'll be worth anything else she puts us through. We both can't stop starring at her and are amazed that we created this small person.
We praise God for this little miracle and can't wait for you all to meet her.
She is so sweet! We didn't know y'all have a blog! So do we! :) We aren't always that good at updating it, but oh well.
